Building Palomar’s Future in Fallbrook

For Dr. Jennifer Jeffries, the future of Palomar College in Fallbrook is more than a campaign priority. It is a project she has helped champion for nearly two decades.

Jennifer’s involvement dates back to 2006, when she served on the Proposition M bond committee supporting the investment needed to expand Palomar College and establish a permanent presence in Fallbrook. When plans for the Fallbrook campus faced uncertainty and the scope of the permanent facility was reduced, Jennifer joined other community leaders in advocating to protect the investment promised to North County.

That advocacy helped secure the commitment for what is now known as Fallbrook 40, the new 40,000 square foot Student Resource and Learning Center currently under construction at the Fallbrook Education Center (pictured here). Jennifer continued her involvement as a member of the Fallbrook Education Center Advisory Council, providing community input as plans for the new facility took shape.

The images of construction underway behind the campus’s familiar blue construction fencing represent more than the progress being made on Fallbrook 40. They also reflect Jennifer’s ongoing commitment to the students, faculty, and staff who continue learning, teaching, and working in temporary facilities while the permanent campus they have long deserved takes shape.

Today, that vision is becoming a reality. The new facility is expected to open in early 2027 and will bring expanded classrooms, a library, tutoring, counseling, career services, student services, health and wellness resources, and gathering spaces to the Fallbrook campus.

Jennifer believes where you live should not limit your opportunity to pursue an education, learn new skills, or prepare for your future. Students in Fallbrook, Bonsall, and surrounding communities deserve access to a strong Palomar College campus closer to home.

Her longstanding commitment to the Fallbrook campus reflects the leadership she will bring to the Palomar College Board of Trustees: listening to our communities, protecting taxpayer investments, expanding educational opportunity, and building a stronger Palomar College for North County’s future.
